Total I/O Module Requirements
1. Make a copy of this worksheet for each of your chassis.
2. For each of the I/O modules identified on the chassis’ Select Module Types and List I/O Points
worksheet on pages 7 and 8, perform the following steps to determine the total number that you
need.
3. In column A, list the module’s catalog number.
4. In column B, total the number of I/O points for the module.
5. In column C, enter the maximum number of I/O points available per module.
6. In column D, calculate the total number of these modules that you will need for this chassis
by dividing column B by column C.
7. In column E, enter the number of spare modules that you may need for future expansion of
this chassis.
8. In column F, enter the total number of these modules that you need for this chassis.
